AND THE FUTURE THAT BESTOW UPON US, WE AINT GOT TIME FOR PEASANT ACTIVITIES LIKE SEX WE'RE HAVENG THE BIGGEST THERAPY SESSION HERE KAY?????????


AND ALSO EVERY OTHER CHAPTER WE GET A GLIMPSE ON WHAT THE FEMALE MAIN CHARACTER NARRATOR'S HISTORY AND HER PAST AND HOW IT ALL SHAPED INTO WHAT HER DECISIONS ARE IN LIFE AND HOW IT AFFECTS AND CREATES HER HIDDEN EVIL (BUT GOOD IN NATURE) INTENTIONS, THE NARRATIVE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO DISTINCT WHEN IT COMES TO GIVING US HINTS TO JON AND FMC'S CHARACTERISTICS AND PERSONALITY AND MOTIVATIONS, THE RELATIONSHIP DYNAMIC BETWEEN OUR BROKEN FMC AND WHAT COULD ONLY POSSIBLY BE THE ONLY SOURCE OF LIGHT IN HER LIFE FROM ALL THE DARKNESS SHE EXPERIENCE AND ALREADY EMBRACED, JON'S SHY, CARING AND KIND NATURE IS ALL THAT I'VE EVER WANTED.


YES THERE'S RAPE INVOLVED, YES THERE'S MURDER INVOLVED BUT IT ALL SOMEHOW CALMS AND SLOWS TIME AS BOTH OF THEM talk... and talk.......... and talk.................... and talk


but when almost all the wholesome things come.... the whatever twists and misunderstandings arise.. One that is enough to disrupt the overwhelmingly heavenly light and enough to plunge the fmc to what i can only say is on the most understandable and most broken things that one ever does 😞


And when after the narrative convinces us, YES US. THE READERS, that we had the right theory, how we and the fmc narrator's decision were correct that aligns to our and to the fmc's moral values.


We get hit with one of the most MIND BLOWINGLY, PERFECTLY EXECUTED AND THE MOST SHOCKING TWIST IN ALL OF MY READING HISTORY...


Two characters, fmc and Jon, two characters is enough to tell a vigorously IMPACTFUL and the most heartbreaking tale of trauma and the actions that we do over our weak sight on what is right, what is correct, and what is just (as in justice).


AND ALL OF IT JUST MAKES ME QUESTION HOW IS THIS EVEN LABELED AS EXTREME HORROR/SPLATTERPUNK GENRE LIKE U SURE THIS AINT DRAMA????????????????😭😭😭

I just read this book because of the immense amount of hype that it gets not tiktok hype, but more of a marketing promotional hype because this book has a damn viewing party and an original song complementary to this release, and i'm here to judge whether those money spent could have been way better spent on actually writing a better book. And Vuk acts like a clingy turtle you just found at a freshwater location because his personality only boils down to knowing every single information, every single conversation, and every single event that happens in Ayana's life. I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman: Limited to reach its fullest potential 4🌟

This book pretty much reminds me of another book titled What Good Girls Do by Jonathan Butcher aaand that book pretty much is way better than this, because if you think about this idea enough, this is just SAD, so SAD and DEPRESSING and most importantly SAD, but i feel like there are some limiting factors that could made this book reach its fullest potential because the situation that the main character is placed in is probably as worse than what the main character in What Good Girls Do have to endure in her life but the fact that the men in here just...doesn't make sense at all is very limiting for the novel itself because them LITERALLY not doing anything except for 'intervening when the offhand chance that someone gets violent' is a clear indication that the author doesn't want to explore the themes of violence and insanity in which when one is put into this situation WOULD DEFINITELY have violent or insane tendencies but Nopppppp this book doesn't engage with...

If i were going to tell you what is a book that is just pure blasphemy, i will tell you this one. There is a Jesus character that basically watches the priest (Alexander the celibate) get raped so uhh. Ya, a slander the christianity and filled with one of the most gore, vile, disgusting things you will ever read. Jesus in here is like your typical teenager who just discovered that swear words exist so they just use it whenever they can in their daily vocabulary. There is also two characters who are kids or i forgot, maybe just look like kids and their names are Dicky and Balls. Yes that is their names, you mothers will think that their parents hated them when they were born in this world because who names their kid like that. (They're also assholes btw, i think the two of them are one of the cause for a rape scene idk?? I kind of forgot which one because of the amount of rape scenes in here). There are also nuns in here whose entire existence is to just rape ppl, another delightful...
